Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is home to the Monarchs of England. It is situated in the centre of London: London SW1A 1AA.

Buckingham Palace was publicly opened in 1703. The architects of Buckingham Palace are: John Nash, Aston Webb, Edward Blore, William Winde and Thomas Cubitt.

Formerly, the Duke of Buckingham constructed the noble house for his wife, which then became Buckingham Palace. Its transformation into a palace began in 1826 from the initiative  of George IV. Queen Victoria was the first monarch to live in Buckingham Palace. Queen Victoria moved in in 1837 after the Palace had been newly completed.

Every year in September the palace is open to the public. The entrance for the visitors is on the south side of the palace and the visits last for around an hour.
