Valais

The Valais is located in the middle of the Swiss Alps. It is a bilingual canton of Switzerland, in which both Swiss-German and French are spoken. The mountains of the Valais are very popular, especially for skiing and hiking. The Valais is known for its high peaks, glaciers, dams, its irrigation channels but also for its excellent wines, delicious apricots, and hospitality of the inhabitants.
